Sports Saved My life.

About

My Story.
 My Mission.

I’m Daryl Devonish.

I’ve spent over 30 years helping others improve their life through sports and physical activity.

When I say sports saved my life, I really mean it.

Receiving a scholarship to attend a private school because of my athletic ability changed the course of my life as as a first generation Canadian of Trinidadian parents who came to this country with nothing.

I was fortunate to attend the University of Toronto graduating with Honours Specialist for Physical Education that led me to teach Physical Education and instructing Kinesiology at a university level.

Not one to sit still, I became a Personal Trainer and eventually turned my side hobby into a full-time job. I became obsessed with helping people achieve health goals and becoming the best version of themselves.

I watched, I studied, and I observed from the best to bring that back to my clients and teams I was working with. I took this obsession beyond training one-on-one to coach teams, build programs, and become the owner and operator of two fitness facilities, One Body Strength Club and Sweat Shoppe.

I devote my professional career to promoting health, recreation, and quality sport experiences – especially for youth.

Remember – Trust the process, keep active, and be grateful for being alive.

My mission is to take kids from zero to hero.

As a lululemon ambassador, I am part of a team that works to connect to communities around the world and is part of the sweatlife.
